Longarm Quilting Services

At Your Longarm Quilter, I provide expert and professional longarm quilting services to beautifully finish your quilt top with precision and care. Using my state-of-the-art Gammill Statler Stitcher mounted on a spacious 12-foot table, I am equipped to handle quilts up to an impressive 120 inches in size. I offer both edge-to-edge quilting and fully custom quilting options, utilizing high-quality Glide and Omni threads to ensure durability and a polished look. You can choose from a wide variety of digital patterns, which can be resized and customized to perfectly match your budget and personal style, or you may opt for free motion quilting for a more unique, handcrafted appearance. Additionally, I provide binding services and can baste your quilt if you prefer to hand quilt. To keep your quilt safe and protected during the process, it will be carefully stored in a clean plastic bucket until it is ready for quilting and then will be kept in a durable bag for convenient pick-up or shipping.

Prices are listed in the drop down menus below. Quilting can become a pricey hobby but finishing your quilt with me doesn’t have to break the bank.

The following services are at no charge:

  • Loading a quilt onto the machine - a labor intensive process.

  • Thread, unless you want more than one color.

  • My time preparing for your consultation.

  • The consultation itself.

  • Photos of your quilt in progress.

  • Pricing for quilting is based on the size of your quilt, the density of the design, and the amount of customization required. There is a minimum charge of $50.

    Edge to Edge:

Low density (lots of space in the design) $.022 per square inch

Medium density $.035 per square inch

Heavy density $.048 per square inch

    Edge to Edge Plus:

Specifically designed for those quilters who want edge to edge across the main portion of the quilt but a different border design along the edges. Simply add $.01 to the edge to edge price based on your desired density. For example, if you want low density edge to edge and different borders, that price would be $.033/ sq. in.

    Custom quilting:

Maybe you want a particular design in certain blocks. You might be thinking of entering your quilt into a contest and want something truly stunning.

Custom quilting starts at $.052 per square inch. Price is discussed at consultation.

See the example on this page for how pricing works.

  • Maybe you are a hand quilter but like me, you don’t enjoy basting your quilt sandwich. I can help. Basting stitches are spaced every 2-4 inches across the quilt in rows that are about 3 inches apart. Basting is $.018 per square inch. Please note, the minimum charge for a quilt is $50.

  • I offer 4 different levels of binding.

If I do your binding, I will include squaring and trimming the quilt for free before attaching the binding.

Level 1: Attach customer supplied binding to the front of the quilt for you to hand finish. $.20 per linear inch

Level 2: Attach customer supplied binding to front and back of quilt by machine. $.30 per linear inch

Level 3: Make binding from customer supplied fabric and attach to the front of the quilt for you to hand finish. $.30 per linear inch

Level 4: Make and attach binding by machine to front and back using customer supplied fabric. $.40 per linear inch

I do not offer hand stitching.

  • You may bring your own or buy from me. Either way, the batting must be 4+ inches larger than the quilt top on all sides.

I carry Hobbs 80/20 natural color which is what I use on my own quilts. It is 96 inches wide. $11 per yard

For quilts with a lot of white or light fabric, I have Hobbs 80/20 bleached white batting. It is 108 inches wide. $12.42 per yard

Sometimes you need dark batting. For that, I carry Hobbs 80/20 black batting. It is 108” wide. $12.42 per yard

I now carry a loftier Hobbs batting. This is great for extra warmth and quilting definition. Linda’s Deluxe 60/40 natural batting is 96 inches wide and is made by Hobbs. $11 per yd.

Prefer Quilter’s Dream batting? I have samples of every kind of their batting. I do not regularly stock this brand due to space limitations but it’s fantastic and I’d be happy to order it for you. Right now, I have 3 bags of Quilter’s Dream Cotton Select in queen size at $48 each.

The advantage to buying batting from me, off the roll, is that you will have fewer folds from packaging which will allow me to start on your quilt quicker.

  • Squaring and trimming are the last two steps before binding. This is optional. $15 for squaring and trimming if I am not binding your quilt.

Please let me know if you want your scraps back.

  • Non-cotton backing such as Minky or fleece requires a considerable amount of effort to avoid tucks. Any backing that is not cotton will have a $15 charge.

If you would like to have more than one color thread in your quilt, there is a charge of $5 for each additional color. Using multiple thread colors and make your quilt stunning!

Rush fee: $40 Life happens. Sometimes we don’t finish our projects soon enough and the gift event is looming. If I think I can meet your deadline, I will charge you the fee and accept the quilt. If I can’t meet your deadline, I’ll let you know right away so you can make other plans.
