About me
My name is Robin Conran and I am Your Longarm Quilter. I’ve been quilting for over 20 years, nearly all of it on my domestic sewing machine. I had a bit of a love/hate relationship with quilting. I loved piecing. I loved fabric … all the fabric … then all the thread. I use Glide thread, Omni-V, and Bottom Line thread most often on the longarm and Aurifil on my domestic machine.
I hated making the quilt sandwich. I hated the layers of my quilt sandwich shifting as I quilted even with spray basting and/or pinning. Crawling around on the floor was getting painful as I tried to sandwich large quilts. I did all my free motion quilting in that teeny tiny throat space of my domestic sewing machine. That eventually started to hurt my shoulders too. Quilting shouldn’t hurt!
Since I invested in a Gammill Statler longarm machine, I have so many more completed quilts instead of just quilt tops. My quilting options have expanded dramatically. I love it and you will too.
This year (2026), I invested further into my machine quilting business. I upgraded to the most advanced hardware and software that Gammill carries - I now have the Statler Ascend! This upgrade provides me with greater precision and faster quilting ability which makes it a win for both me and my clients.
Let me help take the pain points out of quilting for you so you can enjoy the parts you like best. The ultimate goal for you is to have completed quilts, not just stacks of beautiful quilt tops.

Potential allergy alert:
You should know I am a cat owner. Yes, they do come into my quilting studio but they won’t interact with your quilts as they don’t jump on the machine. (They’ve tried and failed. Now they’re afraid to jump on it.) Your quilt will be safely stored away from the cats before and after quilting.
